Coming Up for LetsPlayHistory.org

I have decided to postpone the art auctions for two weeks, in order to work on two LPH promotional projects.

The first will be a new squidoo lens (page) on how to turn one’s history-based daydreams into real, live events.  It is basically a planning guide for history themed parties or reenactments (for fun or for profit).  It will include resources for prop aquisition or construction, as well as offer tips for recruiting “play mates.”  More than anything I intend for this lens to convey how convenient and superior a centralized service like LetsPlayHistory.org would/will be for new group, or history club development.

The other project will be the beginning of LPH classes, and will be referenced on the squidoo lens.  It is a tutorial for authentic costuming and construction.  It will take the absolute greenhorn sewer through basic, hands on sewing skills, all in a systematic checklist manner.  It will include history snipits and resources to help in creating authentic costumes from any era, and will also offer modern fabric selection tips (for authenticity).   I’m excited to publish!
