National WWII Museum News

October 6th, 2007

We recently learned that the former National D-Day Museum, now the National World War II Museum, located in New Orleans, Louisiana,  is planning a major expansion.  Originally the museum represented only the European D-Day invasion of June 6, 1944, but popular demand has prompted the museum to aim for representing every facet of America’s global involvement in World War II.

This is no small undertaking, and we can’t help but enthusiastically applaud!

It really is time to do this, because as you know, the generation of veterans who bravely served us in World War II, and spared us our precious liberties, are now leaving us at a growing rate.  Part of the mission of the National World War II Museum is to document as many of their stories first hand as possible, and preserve their accounts for future generations.

I, and my family, hope you’ll join us in financially supporting this project.  You can learn more, and make donations by visiting the museum’s website at www.NationalWW2Museum.org .

P.S.  And, a little side-bene is that this museum contributes to the economic recovery of areas affected by hurricane Katrina.
